tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez, born February 27, 1976, is an ex-American football tight end who played for the National Football League (NFL), for 17 seasons. Regarded as one of the most outstanding tight ends ever Gonzalez is the NFL's top player in receptions and receiving yards for a tight end while also ranking third overall in receiving. Gonzalez's first 12 seasons associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he made it to the NFL's draft in the first round. In his final five seasons as a Falcon, he played with the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013 Gonzalez has served as a football analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez ended his career with fourteen Pro Bowl selections, the highest number for a tight end and second in the history of the league, in addition to receiving six All-Pros on the first team. Gonzalez was famous for his toughness and the ability to not lose a ball. He was a part of 272 of 270 regular-season games and had only two fumbles with 1,327 touches. He was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2019.
